There is information and observations in these booklets that is just not available to the average person in the midst of a terminal illness of a family member. I received the first book in the series -My Friend, I Care -- from the St.Luke's Hospice House, where my husband died on January 15. It arrived several weeks after his funeral, and I read and re-read it several times, and wished so much that I had been able to read it while he was still alive in the Hospice House. I loved it so much that I wanted copies for all those in our neighborhood who are or have experienced grief. Several have set up an informal private group following a formal grief support group at a church, meeting at a diner once a week, so I included copies for them. Since the booklets arrived, two persons who are close neighbors lost family members, and there were booklets remaining to pass on to them. Everybody has remarked on how uplifting and helpful they are . We keep the titles other than that first book on hand for borrowing if anyone wishes to read them, or they have ordering information in the back of the booklet they received. We are blessed by this whole series.
